South Bay Chapter of NAIW members continue to gather gently used and/or new jackets, coats, hoodies, sweaters and other warm outerwear for Operation:  ONE WARM COAT through the month of April 2011.

Economic times have continued to contribute to a need so great - cold weather months are upon us, and so many people desperately need help with basic needs of keeping warm.

South Bay Chapter members will be accepting donations of all new and/or slightly used but in good condition coats, sweaters, jackets for all age groups - men, women, teens, children and infants.

Helping Chevrolet To Raise $1 Million to Help U.S. Troops Call Home
http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/

To date, Chevrolet and partners AT&T, Bass Pro Shops, the Miami Dolphins, Little Ceasars Pizza, NASCAR Driver Dale Earnhart Sr. & NASCAR Hall of Fame, Wells Fargo, Liberty Tax Service, Pro-Flowers, PAK-MAIL, and many more have helped raise more than $7 million and provide more than 90 million minutes of free talk time to the service men and women serving our country around the globe with the help of people just like you & me by donating their old cell phones.   This mobile phone recycling program has helped recycle more than 7.5 million cell phones since 2004, reducing the impact on our landfills.

How does this work?  Donated cell phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.  Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones each year, the majority of phones are either discarded or stuffed in a drawer.  Most people don’t realize that the small sacrifice of donating their unwanted phones can have a tremendous benefit for a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers.

Help reunite a soldier with his/her family for a few minutes - donate your old cell phones to this worthy cause.
