As we celebrate NAIW Week this month, please remember the NAIW Mission Statement:
“NAIW (International) serves its members by providing professional
education, an environment in which to build business alliances and the
opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and
levels of experience within the insurance industry.”
That’s our purpose. We are not a
social club, although I think we have lots of fun when we get together at our
meetings, visit sister association meetings, attend the State Meeting, Regional
Conferences, and coming up, National Convention in June!
The last 11 months have flown by!
I’m so proud to represent South Bay Chapter of NAIW as President and am
honored that you have asked me to serve a 2nd term.
South Bay members meet the NAIW Mission Statement as follows:
Our association
offers the best Continuing Education Classes to our members and other insurance
professionals in the South
Bay area! We have had an
outstanding selection of instructors and courses. Our last CE class is Thursday, May 20th
and will be “Practical Applications of Property Forms & Endorsements: and
What the Insured Expects from his Broker.”
Thank you to Susan Shaver and Gina Patterson, CISR, and everyone that
brought the dinners each month, for helping us achieve this mission. KUDOS to all involved!
We build
business alliances through networking, not only with our own members, but our
program speakers that come to our meetings each month. We can network by attending the Southern California Inter-Coordinating Meeting held each
January & meet others in our NAIW family.
We have the
opportunity to make connections with people of different career paths, and
levels of experience within the insurance industry, by attending our own CE
classes!
SAVE THE DATE: SEPTEMBER 24TH & 25TH @ DOUBLETREE HOTEL
The 2010 CA Council Meeting is September 24-25, 2010 right here IN OUR
OWN BACK YARD AND WE ARE THE HOST ASSOCIATION!
How lucky are we to have the opportunity to make connections with other
members in our state from San Diego to Sacramento.
Please continue to support our association by being an active member
and serving when asked. You only get
out, someone once said, what you are willing to put in.
Thank you South Bay members for continuing the journey with me and
welcome to our 2010 New Members who are joining us on this journey: Kathy Canto, Gina Villacis, Danielle Wigley, Kathy Marshall and Lynne
Spooner, who will be installed as a new South Bay member at our meeting on May
11th!
In Fellowship,
Carleen Armstrong President 2009/2010 South Bay Chapter of NAIW
